How To Brand Your Instagram: Plus the reasons why it's important!
I am constantly being asked, "How do I grow my Instagram ?"
What I find is that most people are not interested in the answer, but instead, they are looking for a quick fix with no money invested.
It takes money to make money. So if you don't have any money to spend, it's time to go back to the rule book and take a peek at what it actually takes to grow a strong, engaged, audience.
Today, I am going to be sharing with you my fool-proof truths to growing a thriving Instagram. The first truth from the rule book is all about branding. Branding not only effects your Instagram, but it effects your entire business.
Why is it especially vital on Instagram? Because Instagram is an image platform. The first thing you see when you come onto an IG page is their branding. Immediately you make a decision on if this is a company you want to "hang out" with or not.
Here are 4 easy ways to brand your Instagram for success:
1. Color Theme:
Aesthetic is everything on this platform. Beautiful images that capture your client/customer immediately, act in the same way as a well decorated Brick and Mortar store.
In one glance they should be able to see what your brand colors are. If everything's messy and unpleasing to the eye, they won't bother to click an image or read further.
2. Template Posts:
Having a template aesthetic can be incredibly helpful to let your customer/client know what to expect from your account. Do you post only Quotes? Maybe you alternate between quotes and images?
Either way, setting up your account to have a pattern will lead to more success. Why? because as people, we like to know what to expect and it creates a space in their mind for you.
Think of accounts you follow that you constantly go back and visit. Some of them may be fashion and beauty related and you go back to them because you know they'll post a new look or a new makeup video.
Or, perhaps some accounts are motivational quote accounts and you know that specific account will get you hyped up.
Create the same experience for your customers/clients when they visit your Instagram.
If you want to learn more about the unique template options, we cover all of them in my Irresistible Instagram course here:https://sherrys-school-d9b4.thinkific.com/courses/irresistible-instagram
3. Engagement:
Engagement may not seem like it relates to branding, but branding isn't just color and logos. Branding is who you are at the root of it all, as a company.
Be the company who connects to it's clients/customers. Reach out to new people who use similar hashtags and give advice or spread love.
When you're known for caring, you automatically WIN!
4. ACE Client:
Lastly, but definitely not least, know your ACE client /customer. Your ACE client/customer is your client avatar.
You should be able to picture exactly who you're speaking to and what they look like. Where does this person hang out, what do they read, etc?
The more you know, the easier it'll be to connect to them and get in their space.
I have an entire section on ACE clients inside of my Irresistible Instagram Course and people are RAVING! (Buy here: https://sherrys-school-d9b4.thinkific.com/courses/irresistible-instagram)
This is something big Fortune 500 companies perfect, and its why they stay successful. You're not targeted by accident. They know you're the most likely to buy from them.
Start viewing your business as a Fortune 500 company.
You may be thinking what does that have to do with Instagram? Well, everything.
When you write a post, write a comment, share an image, post a story, etc.. you shouldn't be speaking to everyone. You should be speaking to your ACE Client. That way, to the very bones of your business, when that person finds you, they know you were made for them.
Now that you're well versed on creating your dream brand on Instagram, leave a comment below telling me what else you wish you knew about Instagram! I'd love to write a blog post about it to ensure you're growing your biz in the best way possible!
